Martin G Van Trieste
I spent my professional life in the biopharmaceutical industry, working behind the scenes to make sure medicines are safe, reliable, and worthy of the trust patients place in them. Over the course of my career I led teams across manufacturing, quality, and global supply operations, taught and mentored future leaders, and partnered with regulators and public-health agencies to prevent harm before it reached patients. I became known not only for technical expertise, but for insisting that people’s lives — not metrics are what ultimately matter in this industry.

When I stepped away from executive life, I didn’t stop working. I changed the medium. I began writing to pass on what I learned: first through a business book capturing the realities and responsibilities of quality leadership, and then through fiction and children’s literature. Today I am the author of a spy trilogy, a biopharmaceutical operations novel, a murder mystery, and a growing series of early-learning children’s books featuring my original character, Lucy the Leprechaun.

No matter the genre, I write with the same purpose that shaped my career: to protect, to teach, and to make people think. Some pages warn, some entertain, some make children smile, but all aim to leave the reader better than they arrived.
I continue to advise and mentor others in the life-sciences community, and now dedicate my time to writing stories that serve patients, parents, and the next generation of readers.

Start a journey you won’t forget, full of tension, risk, and mystery. A former biotech leader, I found a lethal plot during what should have been a calm European trip that my wife and I had planned for months. From Milan’s busy roads to the quiet views of Switzerland, Norway and the sights of Paris, each move reveals secrets linked to big business deals, and a hidden group. With threats at every turn, we need to solve the puzzle of a strange chemical formula before time runs out. Will we make it through this risky race against the clock or become the next targets in this deadly adventure? This story keeps you guessing to the last page, leaving you out of breath and wondering who you can trust.
This book exposes the dangers patients face when medicines are substandard — from production errors, weak global supply chains, obsolete manufacturing practices, raw-material shortages, and counterfeit ingredients. It shows how quality leaders work to prevent these risks and illustrates the daily challenges they face protecting patients.

The narrative explains the mindset required to anticipate failures and build defenses, even as bad actors — both external criminals and internal weak links — constantly undermine safeguards. In pharmaceuticals, a single lapse can endanger lives.

Finally, the book reflects on the craft of quality leadership: while education provides a base, true expertise is earned through experience, problem-solving, and mentorship. These lessons are shared to prepare the next generation to protect patients with rigor and integrity.
McVey Family Spies Trilogy
From my imaginative mind comes a thrilling novel that weaves a tapestry of espionage, family ties, and hidden truths. "Shadows of Inheritance" is a masterful blend of action, suspense, and emotional depth, featuring Bart McKay, a man reminiscent of Ernest Hemingway and his daughter Emma, a formidable presence in the FBI and CIA.

Once an amateur track star, Bart, now a seasoned CIA operative, lives a life cloaked in secrecy and danger. His story eventually intertwines with his daughter, Emma, a rising star at the FBI and later the CIA. Their paths, laden with covert operations and clandestine activities, reveal a complex web of familial bonds and betrayals.

As Bart's and Emma's worlds collide, they face challenges that test their loyalty to their country and each other. In a high-stakes game where truth is elusive, their choices will determine not only their fates but also the fate of those around them.
"Shadows of Inheritance" is a gripping journey through the hidden corridors of power, from the echoing halls of government agencies to international hotspots of espionage. Bound by blood and secrets, Bernie and Emma navigate a labyrinth of danger, deception, and moral ambiguity.
A Hidden War s a riveting tale of espionage and intrigue. The story revolves around Bart McVey, a retired CIA agent, and his daughters, Emma and Maggie, who are deeply involved in espionage and intelligence. Emma is an old-fashioned operative, and Maggie is a cyber warfare savant. The novel weaves a complex narrative involving family dynamics, high-stakes espionage, and the evolving landscape of cyber threats. It explores themes of loyalty, betrayal, and the personal costs of a life dedicated to clandestine services. The characters navigate a treacherous world where trust is scarce, and danger lurks in both the digital and real worlds. The novel's blend of thrilling spy action, emotional depth, and technological insight makes it a compelling read for anyone fascinated by the secretive world of espionage.
The Chronicles of Sister Spies" is a riveting narrative that thrusts readers into the heart of clandestine operations, where loyalty, betrayal, and the quest for justice blur the lines between right and wrong. Authors Emma and Maggie McVey, sisters bound by blood and duty, navigate a perilous world of espionage, facing an enigmatic enemy with no country or creed other than chaos. As they unravel a web of global intrigue, their journey from the rain-soaked streets of Paris to the vibrant chaos of Manila tests not only their skills but the strength of their bond.
Van Trieste crafts a story where family ties, love, and loyalty are tested against the backdrop of a world teetering on the brink of disaster. This tale is a testament to the courage that lies within the heart of those who choose to protect the shadows.
